Nothing is permanent except change – Lives of the Philosophers by Diogenes Laertius
As we move forward we face various changes in our lives. We set new goals and meet new challenges. This is a great time to ask yourself an honest question – Do I resist change or embrace change?
Fighting against the constant cycle of change is exhausting and stressful. Perhaps a more productive approach might be to accept that change happens (in all things; people, lives, products, situations..etc), and focus on adapting to change, whilst spotting opportunities.
Some of the most amazing teachers I have ever had are those who seem to spot opportunities, even in the most turbulent of times. I believe, this is because they keep a perspective on any given situation of change and decide that “this is just part of the cycle”.
I invite you to break free of the fear and to accept that change will happen in all aspects of your life. Take positive steps to adapt and in doing so, you will be surprised at how many opportunities open up for you.
There is nothing to fear from change except your own perception of the unknown future. Believe in your abilities to meet the challenges ahead, accept the changes, be free of stress, take affirmative action, uncover opportunities and enjoy life!
It’s the most unhappy people who most fear change.
