“The only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking. Don’t settle” – Steve Jobs
I work with people every day of my working life to aid them to make great things happen. In my spare time I am a football (soccer) coach. Both of these activities coexist very easily as very similar ‘rules’ apply;
1. If you love doing it, you will constantly and willingly strive to do it better ever time.
2. If you are doing it to fulfil the needs or desires of others, you will feel trapped, unfulfilled and, in the main, unhappy.
I realise that we all have bills to pay and that not every day can be like ‘Pollyanna’, but if we consciously seek out the joy in our daily activities we may soon realise that we do actually love what we do everyday. In finding that daily joy and love for what we do, amazing things happen, worlds of possibility seem to open up for us…as if by magic.
But, is it magic or is it conscious thought and choice?
