Not everyone attains the title ‘Manager’ in their career or life. However, every one of us can live up to the mantle ‘Leader’ when ever we choose. Often, training courses and books will talk of management and leadership as one in the same, but there are some fundamental differences:-

  • Leaders ask questions – Managers give answers
  • Leaders highlight and question potential for improvement – Managers point out mistakes
  • Leaders credit their teams for success – Managers look for credit for their team’s success
  • Leaders take responsibility for errors – Managers look to apportion blame for errors
